The constitution and bylaws of LAATA were adopted in 1984. The association was incorporated on January 19, 1987 and recorded in Non-Profit Corp. Book 342 in the office of the Secretary of State in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Objectives:

• To promote a high standard of ethics, professionalism and education within the travel agency community and to improve our image within the community at large.
• To encourage projects among our membership for the promotion of the travel product.
• To address our supplier relations and issues in a cooperative spirit.
• To invite and encourage the participation in this association of all eligible for membership.
